I am the person who does the work.

Groundwork is one senior strategist, accountable from the first audit to the last report. That strategist is me. This page is in my own words, because the thing I am selling is a person you can call, and you should know who that is.

Three years, 130+ businesses

What I do

I have spent three years and more than 130 engagements on search: technical SEO, content strategy, local SEO, and the newer work of making sites legible to AI search. Law firms, self storage, skincare, home improvement, matchmaking, UK tax consulting, a freight marketplace, B2B software. Different businesses, the same underlying work, done in the same order every time.

Why I built it this way

Why this way

Most of the businesses I talk to have hired an SEO agency before. They were sold activity and handed a dashboard. The person who closed them was not the person who did the work, and the work itself was never something they could read and check.

I built Groundwork to be the opposite of that. One person, so nothing is relayed and nothing is lost. A written plan, so you can hold the work to something. Reports that say what moved and what did not, so there is nowhere for activity to hide.

What the work taught me

What 130 clients taught me

That the foundation is almost always the problem, and almost never the thing the previous agency worked on. That a business owner can tell the difference between movement and motion, if you show them honestly. That the hardest part of this job is not the SEO. It is being the one person who stays accountable for it, month after month, and does not hide behind a longer report when a number does not move.

So that is the whole offer. The unglamorous work, done properly and in order, by the person whose name is on it.
