What they had
WheelWally had a 12 post blog series that had done exactly what it was asked to do. It ranked. Traffic arrived. Almost none of it turned into anything the business could use. The content was working as content and failing as marketing.
Before we started
WheelWally had a 12 post blog series that had done exactly what it was asked to do. It ranked. Traffic arrived. Almost none of it turned into anything the business could use. The content was working as content and failing as marketing.
The call we made
The honest read was that more posts would not fix this, so we did not pitch a retainer to produce them. We recommended a scoped three-phase fix aimed at the real gap, which was the distance between a reader arriving and a reader acting. This publishes as a two-part study: what we found, then what we proposed.
The work itself
Part one: a diagnosis of why ranked pages were not converting, tracing it to intent mismatch and the absence of a next step on the page. Part two: a three-phase plan that reworked the existing posts for intent, added clear paths to act, and only then considered new content, in that order.
Measured, not claimed
[This study documents a recommendation and its reasoning. Outcome figures will be added here once the phases are executed and measured. Left as placeholders until then.]
The honest line
We will say plainly here what the fix did not achieve once it has run. For now the honest line is that the original series still does not convert, which is exactly why we did not recommend more of it.
